Well last night in the most graceful way possible I definitely fell as I was heading out of the office and as a result broke my fibula (bone on the outside of my left leg and tore the tendons in my ankle). A nice trip to the ER and two attempts to set it into place have me slated for surgery next week, to have screws put into my leg to hold the fibula and tibula together. They tell me I will be able to predict the weather, yay for brights sides…
While on all sorts of pain meds I decided to tweet this out to the twitterverse and I got a huge response back. This response really did mean a lot to me, because I have been a twitter slacker lately. I have not been able to be on as much for many reason and I have most definitely slacked in my writing here on this blog. But this morning I definitely was remember why I think twitter is such a great community of awesome people. I am constantly preaching the benefits of twitter to the people I talk and present to, but today I was reminded of not just the professional benefits but also of the personal ones. Thank you all for that.
Now with no where to go for the foreseeable future I hopefully have sometime to catch up in a lot of the tech stuff I have been putting off. (see another bright side…and this one doesnt hurt)
In my true tech fashion I thought that the vitual cast sounded like fun (i’ve never had a cast before and I wont get the real one until next week after surgery) so I create the below where you can add pictures, messages, drawings, or just make fun of me.
